Soil & Water:Thrives in dry to mesic soil in the sun to part shade. Can tolerate dry soil conditions.
Planting & Growing: In fall or spring, scatter seed directly in the garden. Press seed of light dependent seed into surface andkeep evenly moist until germination (1-2 weeks). Thin or transplant to 1 foot apart.
Harvesting & Storage:Flowers in second year for seed harvest in fall. Root may also be harvested and dried.
