Planting & Care

Soil & Water: Plant thrives in moist to sodden soil of garden, forest or roadside in the sun to part shade.

Planting & Growing: Sow in fall or very early spring for germination in spring. Barely cover seeds with soil, tamp firmly and keep evenly moist until germination, which can take days to months. Thin or transplant to 1 ft apart. Grows to 4 feet.

Harvesting & Storage: Harvest leaves before flowers form. Use scissors and wear protective clothing. Stinging hairs on leaves point downward toward tip so do not run finger upward on underside of leaf.

Got this for my seed bank. I have used Stinging Nettle for a salve and want to have the seeds on hand when I need to plant. So far so good

My favorite product ever!!

After receiving these seeds, I planted them immediately. I had no idea that benefits of this plant and I’m so happy I ordered them!! My tortoises loveto way them and they taste amazing when made into tea, not to mention their benefits. I love Peaceful Valley Farms, it’s the only brand of seeds I feel comfortable ordering. Thank you so much!

Not sure yet

I was very happy to see that you had these available. I am germinating them now, and hope to plant them in many places around the farm. We are a certified organic farm, so having all of our favorite plants in Certified organic, is so stellar!
