Jacaranda Broccoli Seeds
Purple-tinged crowns on compact, uniform plants
Jacaranda is a compact hybrid crown broccoli with uniform blue-green plants and vibrant purple-tinged heads. It produces full-size heads about 5 inches across and is listed by the breeder at approximately 50 days from transplanting.
Start seed indoors 4–6 weeks before the intended transplant date, or direct-sow in a cool-season planting window. Plant in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil with a pH of about 6.0–7.0. Keep the bed evenly moist, especially as heads form. Allow 12–24 inches between plants.
Harvest while the head is tight and dense, before individual buds loosen or open. Cut the main head with several inches of stem; harvest side shoots as they develop. Browse additional varieties in our Broccoli Seeds collection.
