Description

Excellent quality fire tool identical in design to the original "McLeod", a tool developed by Malcolm McLeod, a US Forest Service ranger. Designed to rake fire lines with the long, strong teeth, this is a great tool for the homeowner to help make their property reduce surface fuels.

  • Meets U.S. Forest Service specs.
  • 48" American Ash Handle, overall length is 50"
  • Blade size: 11" x 8-7/8".
  • Teeth are 3-1/2" long.

California Proposition 65 WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm; for more information, visit www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.

A McLeod combines a rake edge and a broad scraping blade for maintaining fire lines, trails, and rough ground. Use it only with stable footing and a clear swing radius, and follow local fire-agency direction during any active incident. The tool does not replace defensible-space planning or professional wildfire response. Remove soil and plant residue after work, inspect the ash handle for damage, and store the steel head dry and away from walkways.
