Great size for general gardening needs, nice ergonomic handle. The locking mechanism to keep it from accidentally closing while in use is a great safety feature. The blade neatly fits into a grove on the handle for storage. I trimmed lower branches on a small oak tree and dead branches on a fig tree - and it cut through everything efficiently and without a lot of effort. Recommended.
