Organic Georgian Crystal Garlic (lb)
Smooth Flavor, Large Cloves
Organic Georgian Crystal Garlic is a premium Porcelain hardneck variety prized for its large cloves, dependable garden performance, and smooth, well-balanced flavor. Each bulb typically contains approximately 4-7 large cloves that are easy to peel and ideal for both cooking and planting. This variety offers a rich garlic flavor with a relatively mild bite when raw that develops into a mellow sweetness when roasted or cooked, making it an excellent choice for sauces, soups, roasted vegetables, meats, and everyday culinary use. When crushed or chopped, it releases a clean, savory garlic aroma with subtle earthy notes that become richer and more complex during cooking.
This hardneck garlic performs best when planted in fall for a summer harvest and thrives in fertile, well-drained soil with consistent moisture during active growth. Georgian Crystal Garlic is especially well suited to regions with dependable winter chill, where it develops vigorous plants and large, high-quality bulbs. Like other hardneck varieties, it also produces edible garlic scapes in late spring or early summer that can be harvested for an additional flavorful crop.
Organic Georgian Crystal Garlic is an excellent choice for home gardeners, market growers, and culinary enthusiasts looking for reliable yields and exceptional flavor. Its large cloves, attractive white bulbs, and outstanding roasting qualities make it one of the most popular Porcelain garlic varieties for both beginner and experienced growers. Storage and Preservation
How to Store Fresh Garlic
After harvest, cure bulbs completely in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated location until the wrappers and stems have dried thoroughly. Proper curing helps preserve bulb quality, flavor, and storage life.
Preserving Garlic for Long-Term Use
Georgian Crystal Garlic stores well when properly cured and maintained in a cool, dry environment with good airflow. While hardneck garlic generally stores for a shorter period than softneck varieties, Georgian Crystal is highly valued for its outstanding flavor, large cloves, and excellent culinary versatility.
