Apples, dogwoods, and other susceptible trees may benefit from seasonal monitoring where this insect is known to occur. The three-lure package is used with delta-style sticky traps, and each dispenser is listed for up to 45 days in the field.

Hang the trap before the expected adult flight, using one intact lure per housing. Inspect on a regular schedule, identify catches carefully, and log the date and location so trends are easier to interpret. Replace the lure at the stated service interval, allowing for shorter life during unusually hot conditions. Renew the sticky insert when dust, debris, or insects limit adhesive space. Keep unused dispensers sealed and cool or frozen, away from food, and avoid cross-contact with other pheromone products. A catch helps confirm adult presence near the trap; it does not show whether larvae are established in a particular tree. Combine monitoring with inspection of wounds, burr knots, graft unions, and other vulnerable bark areas.
