Pest Wizard Filbert Worm Lures selectively attract adult male filbertworm moths, Cydia latiferreana, for orchard monitoring. The package includes three pheromone lures, each intended to remain active for up to 30 days. Filbertworm monitoring is especially relevant in hazelnuts and can also support scouting around other recorded hosts where local extension guidance recommends trapping.

Keep unopened lures sealed and cool or frozen until needed. Using gloves or forceps, place one lure in a Paper Delta Trap or a Reusable Plastic Delta Trap, both sold separately. Hang traps at a consistent position in the orchard canopy before expected adult emergence, avoiding branches that block the entrances. Date each trap and inspect it routinely, noting captures rather than relying on memory. Replace the lure after approximately 30 days and exchange sticky components when coated with dust, scales, or insects. Captures document moth flight but do not reveal nut infestation directly; combine trap records with nut inspection, orchard sanitation, and current regional timing recommendations before deciding whether another control is warranted.
