Pest Wizard Maple Callus Borer Moth Lures selectively attract adult male Synanthedon acerni, a clearwing moth associated with wounded or stressed maples. The three-pack supplies 30-day pheromone lures for monitoring red, silver, sugar, and other susceptible maples; supplier information notes a particular association with silver maple. The lure detects adult flight and does not reach larvae tunneling beneath bark.

Store unopened packets cool or frozen as the package directs. With clean gloves or forceps, place one lure in the adhesive insert of a Paper Delta Trap or compatible Reusable Plastic Delta Trap, sold separately. Hang the trap near host trees before expected adult emergence, keeping both openings clear. Label it with date and location, inspect weekly during flight, and distinguish the target from other clearwing moths. Replace each lure after about 30 days and exchange a liner when dust, scales, leaves, or captures cover the sticky area. Use trap results to schedule inspection of pruning wounds, callus tissue, frass, bark cracks, and exit holes, then follow current tree-care guidance.
