The Pest Wizard Raspberry Crown Borer Trap Kit provides a complete monitoring setup for adult male raspberry crown borer moths, Pennisetia marginata, in raspberry and related cane-berry plantings. It includes two reusable plastic delta traps, two pheromone lures, and two metal hangers. The system helps identify adult flight so growers can intensify inspection for eggs and larvae around crowns and lower canes.

Assemble each trap according to the package diagram, place one lure on the sticky liner without touching it with bare hands, and hang the unit in or beside the berry canopy. Supplier guidance recommends deployment in early to midsummer before expected adult emergence, generally using one trap per distinct patch while accounting for patch size and local pressure. Label each trap with its date and location, inspect at least weekly, and replace lures at their stated field-life interval. Renew sticky liners when dust, debris, or captures impair adhesion. Trap catches do not remove larvae already tunneling in crowns; combine monitoring with inspection for wilting canes, swollen crowns, holes, frass, and weakened growth.
