Heavy-duty (3 mil.) reusable grow bags are economical and easy to use. They are self-standing once filled with soil. They have pre-punched holes to allow for good water drainage and they come packed flat.

    I've bought these by the hundreds for several years and none has worn out yet. Cuff to start seeds, use full size for high-density veggies like spinach and for starting whole potatoes. Rinse in 10% Clorox before re-using to kill last season 's bacteria, viruses and mold. Collect 9-12 in a dishpan to grow veggies in a window all Winter and to get an early start in Spring. To transplant, soak, squeeze gently and dump entire contents into your hand. At15¢ each, this is the best buy in gardening. Larger sizes are just as good for different purposes.
