Sweetie Tomato Seeds (Organic)
Sweetie Tomato Seeds (Organic)
Tiny fruit, big sweetness.
Sweetie Tomato is a delightful cherry tomato variety celebrated for its tiny, round fruit and intense sweetness. Each plant produces long clusters of bright red tomatoes, each bursting with flavor and perfect for fresh snacking, salads, or garnishes. Thriving in full sun and nutrient-rich, well-draining soil, Sweetie Tomatoes are indeterminate, maturing in just 65-70 days. These vigorous plants are highly productive, delivering an abundant harvest throughout the season. Their small size and exceptional taste make them a favorite for kids and gardeners who love to snack straight from the vine. Sweetie Tomatoes are also great for container gardening, making them a versatile choice for small spaces or patios. With their vibrant color, juicy texture, and concentrated sweetness, Sweetie Tomatoes are a must-have for anyone who enjoys fresh, homegrown produce. Whether you’re growing them for salads, roasting, or simply enjoying them as a treat, Sweetie Tomatoes will bring joy and flavor to your garden.
Cherry Tomato - Sweetie - Lycopersicon lycopersicum
Tender Annual Indeterminate. Sweetie's large vines produce very sweet, red, round, cherry-type tomatoes up to 1" in diameter. This variety's high sugar content makes the fruit a good choice for juice or preserves. It is resistant to alternarium stem canker.
Did You Know? Research shows that protective effects of tomatoes against prostate cancer and cardiovascular disease result from the synergy of lycopene with other phytonutrients naturally present in whole tomatoes. Lycopene is highest in organically grown tomatoes.
Soil & Water: Tomatoes love fertile soil rich in organic matter. Add plenty of compost prior to planting. Soil pH is preferred between 5.5-7.0. Soak the soil 4"-6" deep at 7-day intervals.
Planting & Growing: Sow seeds in flats 6-8 weeks before the last frost and thin to 2" apart after the first true leaves appear. Before transplanting after the last frost, harden off the plants by placing them outdoors for a few hours to start, increasing the amount of time each day until they are accustomed to a full day of sunlight.
Harvesting & Storage: Harvest when individual fruits give slightly under finger pressure; the shoulders may not have changed color yet.
