Sweetie Tomato Seeds (Organic)
Tiny fruit, big sweetness.
Sweetie Tomato is a cherry variety known for small, round, bright red fruit and pronounced sweetness. Long clusters make the tomatoes convenient for snacking, salads, garnishes, juice, or preserves. This vigorous indeterminate variety grows best in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil and can be grown in garden beds or large containers. Maturity is about 65–70 days under suitable conditions.
Cherry Tomato – Sweetie – Lycopersicon lycopersicum
Tender annual. Indeterminate. Sweetie produces sweet, round cherry tomatoes up to 1 inch in diameter on large vines. Its high sugar content makes the fruit well suited to juice or preserves. The variety is resistant to Alternaria stem canker.
Soil & Water: Tomatoes grow best in fertile soil with organic matter and a pH of 5.5–7.0. Water deeply and consistently, adjusting frequency for soil, weather, and container conditions.
Planting & Growing: Sow seeds in flats 6-8 weeks before the last frost and thin to 2" apart after the first true leaves appear. Before transplanting after the last frost, harden off the plants by placing them outdoors for a few hours to start, increasing the amount of time each day until they are accustomed to a full day of sunlight.
Harvesting & Storage: Harvest when individual fruits give slightly under finger pressure; the shoulders may not have changed color yet.
