Description

The Quick Cover Erosion Mix is designed for gardeners, farmers, and landowners who need fast, reliable soil stabilization. Its primary components—Blando bromegrass, annual ryegrass, and crimson clover—each play a key role. Blando bromegrass establishes quickly and provides dense, fibrous roots that hold soil in place on slopes or disturbed ground. Annual ryegrass germinates in just days, forming a thick mat of vegetation that protects against wind and water erosion. Crimson clover not only adds vibrant spring color, but it fixes atmospheric nitrogen into the soil, improving fertility for future crops. This blend is especially useful in fall or early spring plantings.

  • Application Rate: 1-3 lb/1000 sq ft or 35-50 lb/acre
  • Inoculant: No additional inoculant is needed. The legume seed is already coated with the appropriate Rhizobium bacteria to support nodulation and nitrogen fixation.
  • Germination: 5–7 Days
  • Plant Height: 2.5'
  • Uses: Quick and economical, will cover exposed soils, germinate in cool soil, and even add a little color.
  • Facts to Note: Contains: Blando bromegrass, annual ryegrass, crimson clover, rose clover, Nitro Persian clover.

Note for certified organic growers: Nitrocoated seed is conventionally grown, non-GMO seed with no fungicide or insecticide seed treatment applied before coating. The coating contains certified organic powdered limestone, an organically approved binder, and an OMRI-approved peat-based inoculant, applied through an OMRI-approved process on a dedicated Nitrocoated-seed treatment line.
