Planting & Care

Soil & Water:Keep seed bed consistently moist. Plant directly into well worked soil in full sun or a spot that receives partial afternoon shade.

Planting & Growing: Sow seed as thinly as possible, cover 1/4 inch deep and firm soil gently over seed. Seeds will emerge in 1-2 weeks Thin seedlings 5-6 inches apart when large enough to handle.

Harvesting & Storage:Harvest individual leaves at 4-5 inches long or cut bunches of young tender leaves as needed. Keep little blossoms cut back for best leaf production or use as edible flowers. Will winter over in mild areas, but best to re-sow each spring for best quality.
