To start indoors, sow 1-2 inches apart in a container of seed starting mix. Keep warm and evenly moist and provide a good light source. Transplant 6-8 inches apart when conditions outside are appropriate. Plant a edgings on garden or herb beds or in windowboxes or planters,
Harvesting & Storage: Harvest sprays of leaves by snipping stems just above 2 new sprouting leaves to encourage lush foliage. Keep flower buds snipped off. Use fresh, dried or freeze. Flowers are also edible.

My partner and I tried this mini-basil and loved it. We let one grow into a little bonsai tree that sat on a windowsill in our kitchen. It had a lovely shape, gave off a delicious fragrance if you brushed up against it, and lasted about a year before it started getting ragged-looking. (It is a bit of a nuisance, though, to cook with the tiny leaves.)
