Prepare a weed-reduced seedbed for ‘Summer Romance’ Honey-Scented Alyssum and use the recorded planting season, depth, and light requirements. Press shallow-sown seed into good soil contact and keep the seed zone from drying during establishment. Thin or transplant only when the growth habit and spacing call for it. Leave enough room for mature width and air movement. Bloom timing and final height can shift with sowing date, climate, soil, moisture, and competition, so use listed figures as planning ranges.
Planting & Growing: Sow seeds as thinly as possible in early spring in well-worked soil in a sunny spot.
Place ‘Summer Romance’ Honey-Scented Alyssum where its recorded height and growth habit fit the surrounding planting. Shorter companions can be positioned toward bed edges, while taller stems need room where they will not shade small seedlings too early. If cutting flowers, harvest with clean tools at the stage appropriate to the bloom form. If leaving flowers in place, observe how bloom sequence changes through the season and record which sowing date performed best at the site.

Planting & Care
Planting & Growing:Sow seeds as thinly as possible in early spring in well-worked soil in a sunny spot. Cover 1/4" deep and keep evenly moist while awaiting germination. Thin or transplant carefully 3 - 4" apart when seedlings are large enough to handle, or before they become crowded so these fast-growing plants have room to mature and spread. In mild winter areas, sow Gulf Winds alyssum in the fall around bulbs, in containers or to cover bare areas. Plants overwinter to bloom all spring in a pretty carpet of pastel shades.
Harvesting & Storage: Plants stay compact and don't get rangy. After the first flushes of intense flowering are over, cut plants back halfway to re-bloom abundantly.
