Automatic Vent Opener - Standard Replacement Cylinder

This black replacement cylinder is made for the Standard Automatic Vent Opener. The temperature-responsive material inside the cylinder expands and contracts to move the compatible vent mechanism without electricity. It replaces a worn cylinder; the opener frame and mounting hardware are not included.

Compare the existing opener and cylinder with the compatible Automatic Vent Opener before installation. Allow the greenhouse and hardware to cool, support the vent sash, and follow the opener instructions for removing tension and fitting the replacement. After installation, test movement through normal temperature changes and adjust the opening point only as directed. A vent cylinder cannot compensate for an undersized vent system; continue monitoring greenhouse temperature and provide additional ventilation or shade when conditions require it.
