Seedling Heating Mat (One Flat Size)
Increase Your Seed Starting Success
Consistent warmth at the root zone can make all the difference for seed germination, and this seedling heating mat delivers gentle, even heat to encourage strong early growth. Designed to raise the root area temperature by 10–20°F above ambient conditions, it helps speed germination and improves success rates for vegetables, herbs, flowers, and other plants, especially in cooler growing environments.
Its internal insulated wiring and heavy-duty, multi-layer construction provide enhanced safety and long-lasting performance. The waterproof surface makes it safe to use in greenhouses, propagation areas, and indoor garden setups. While ideal for seed-starting trays, it’s also a versatile tool for homebrewing projects or providing warmth in pet enclosures and terrariums for reptiles, rodents, and arachnids.
Easy to set up and energy-efficient, this mat ensures a steady, reliable temperature to support healthy root development. Whether starting your garden early or keeping small animals comfortable, it’s a dependable addition to your growing or hobby space.

Plug it in and forget it. Used under my mini-greenhouses or under seed trays you just plug them in and forget them. They maintain a good soil temperature for germination and early growth and seem to be water-resistant when you make a mistake, as we all do. Coupled with my Sun Blaster lights (also reliable) I can get good vigorous seedlings even though I have no greenhouse, just a woodwork shop with skylights.
Fermwarps and other heating elements have been hard to come by thanks to increasing interest in homebrewing due to COVID-19. Got one of these in pinch to use on a 14 conical. Works like a dream! Brought the temp of 11.5 gallons of soon to beer up to desired temp in about 8 hours, maintained that temp once it was reached.
Sure it works great for seed starting too!
