The 1-gallon Smart Pot is a soft-sided, foldable fabric container for plant starts, herbs, flowers, and other compact crops. Its porous walls allow drainage and air exchange around the growing medium. When roots reach the fabric edge, exposure to air encourages lateral branching rather than continued circling.

Set the pot on a surface that can drain, fill it evenly, and monitor moisture more frequently than with a nonporous container. Empty and clean the fabric between crops according to the manufacturer’s care guidance, then dry it fully before folding for storage.
