Description
Description
Summer Leaf Bees are supplied as approximately 200 incubated leafcutter bee cocoons for release during warm-weather bloom. These solitary bees use 6 mm nesting cavities and pieces of soft, nonfibrous leaves to build individual nest cells. They can visit melons, cucumbers, beans, sunflowers, strawberries, and other summer flowers when local weather and bloom overlap support activity.
- Approximately 200 leafcutter bee cocoons
- Pre-incubated for the selected release window
- Best released with consistent temperatures near 75°F or warmer
- Requires suitable nesting tubes, leaves, and pesticide-aware placement
Select an available dated shipping variant that matches active bloom and forecast conditions. Orders ship directly from the supplier by FedEx 2Day on the scheduled release cycle; weather or carrier conditions can affect timing. Place cocoons outdoors promptly according to the included directions, provide morning sun and weather protection at the nesting site, and avoid applying pesticides to blooming plants while bees are foraging. Emergence, dispersal, nesting, and pollination vary with temperature, forage, habitat, and handling, so crop-yield increases cannot be predicted. Review local rules before releasing managed bees outside their native range.
