Sunbelt Weed Fabric (4' X 300')

Sunbelt Weed Fabric is a four-foot by 300-foot roll of woven black polypropylene landscape fabric. The 3.2-ounce-per-square-yard material allows water and air movement while limiting light at the soil surface. Stripes spaced every 12 inches assist with row alignment and planting layout, and the manufacturer reports 99.7% light blockage.

Prepare and grade the site before installation, overlap seams, and anchor the perimeter and interior for wind and foot traffic. Cut planting openings only as large as needed and keep fabric away from trunks and expanding stems. Weed suppression varies with installation, edge coverage, sediment accumulation, and perennial weed pressure. Cover or maintain the surface as appropriate for the site, and inspect for exposed or damaged areas. The manufacturer provides a five-year limited UV warranty; review its current terms rather than treating service life as fixed.
