SureFire Gopher Trap

The SureFire Gopher Trap is an all-steel mechanical kill trap for placement in an active gopher tunnel. Its compact body measures approximately 11.6 inches long by 4.75 inches wide and is designed to fit below ground where gophers travel. The trap contains no bait or pesticide, but its spring mechanism can cause serious injury if handled or positioned carelessly.

Identify an active tunnel by probing near a fresh mound, then excavate only enough soil to expose the run and follow the manufacturer’s setting sequence. Wear sturdy gloves, keep hands clear of the trigger and strike area, and test the mechanism only as directed. Seat the trap in the tunnel without wobble, block light and drafts as recommended, and mark the location above ground so no one steps or digs into it. Keep children, animals, and unauthorized people away from every set. Check traps frequently and comply with local laws for lethal trapping and carcass disposal. After a capture, release the spring tension before cleaning and resetting. Continue monitoring fresh soil activity to determine whether additional tunnels remain occupied.
