Pest Wizard Western Bean Cutworm Lures are species-specific pheromone refills for monitoring Striacosta albicosta, a pest associated with field corn and dry beans. Used with a compatible delta trap, the lure helps reveal when adult moth flight is occurring so crop scouting can be concentrated during a meaningful part of the pest’s life cycle. This package contains three lures, each with a stated field life of about 30 days under normal conditions.

Place one lure in a clean trap without cutting or opening the dispenser. Install traps before the expected flight period and check them consistently, recording the date and number caught. Replace the lure at the listed interval; extreme heat and exposure can shorten service life. Refresh the sticky liner when insects, dust, or debris reduce the usable surface. Store unused lures sealed in a cool location or freezer, separate from food, and avoid transferring lure odor between products intended for different species. Captures document adult activity, but treatment decisions should also consider crop stage, local thresholds, field scouting, and regional extension guidance.
