Poly tubing carries water through drip-irrigation mainlines or smaller distribution branches. Select tubing by its stated inner and outer diameter, roll length, pressure guidance, and compatibility with the fittings, emitters, or takeoffs in the planned system. Similar nominal sizes can use different connection standards.

Lay out the mainline before punching holes, leave access for flushing, and protect exposed tubing according to product directions. Shop compatible poly tubing fittings, or use the drip irrigation resources to plan system order and installation.
