Growing Dahlia Friquolet in Your Garden
Plant tubers after the danger of frost has passed and soil has warmed. Choose a sunny location with fertile, well-drained soil. Dahlia Friquolet benefits from consistent moisture and monthly feeding for vigorous growth and prolific flowering. Staking may be needed due to the tall growth habit and large flower heads.
Climate and Soil Requirements
Best grown in USDA dahlia zones 8–10, but it can be grown as an annual or dug and stored in colder climates. Requires full sun and loamy, well-draining soil. In cooler areas, lift tubers after frost and store them in a dry, cool place over winter.
Sunlight and Watering
Provide at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Water deeply 2–3 times a week, depending on climate, to encourage strong root systems and prevent mildew or tuber rot.
Care and Maintenance
Deadhead regularly to encourage continuous blooming. Apply mulch to maintain soil moisture and suppress weeds. Fertilize monthly with a balanced organic flower fertilizer for lush, extended blooms.

We guarantee the perishable items we sell to be in good, viable condition when we sell them. Perishable items include, but are not limited to, garlic bulbs, flower bulbs, seed potatoes, onion sets & transplants, potted or bare root trees, vegetable crowns, etc. If your perishable item arrives in substandard condition, take photographs and please contact us within 3 days of the purchase date (or delivery date) and we will provide you with a refund of the purchase price (excluding shipping costs), or a replacement. Accordingly, we urge you to open any boxes marked as ""Perishable"" immediately upon receiving them and inspect the shipment thoroughly (do not crack open heads of garlic, we do not accept claims on cracked garlic). Because some perishable items can deteriorate very quickly, we cannot accept any claims beyond the 3-day time frame as it becomes too difficult to determine if these items were delivered in substandard condition, or if they turned into such substandard condition because of having been improperly cared for or stored once delivered.

It's too soon for flowers, but the plants are doing great. I'm excited to see the beautiful white and red flowers bloom. The plants I got from this brand a few years back were amazing, especially in their second year. Update with photo. 10/31/24. I have been pulling bouquets since early summer. This is one of the last ones I'll get this year, cut on Halloween day. The flowers produced this year were mostly red, but so beautiful.
