Divina Butterhead Lettuce Seeds

Luscious Butterhead Leaves

Introducing Divina Butterhead Lettuce Seeds, a botanical specimen with a storied history and exceptional characteristics. This cultivar, scientifically known as Lactuca sativa, represents a quintessential butterhead lettuce variety, offering distinct features and remarkable culinary potential.

Divina Butterhead Lettuce is known for its visually appealing attributes. Its leaves are tender, smooth, and exhibit a rich green color, with a delicate crinkled texture that adds an elegant touch to any garden or salad. The compact rosette form of this lettuce makes it ideal for smaller garden spaces, containers, and raised beds.

Cultivating Divina Butterhead Lettuce requires well-drained, fertile soil with ample moisture retention capabilities. This variety thrives in cooler climates, typically during spring and fall, although some success can be found in mild summer conditions. Adequate spacing between plants is essential to facilitate optimal growth and leaf development.

Harvesting this lettuce is straightforward. Once the head is firm, yet the leaves remain tender, carefully cut the entire plant at its base. This practice preserves the lettuce's crispness and flavor. Leaf-by-leaf harvesting is also an option for those who prefer a continuous harvest.

Divina Butterhead Lettuce Seeds offer a connection to horticultural traditions and provide an aesthetically pleasing and delectable addition to your garden and culinary repertoire.

Planting & Care

Soil & Water: Lettuce likes full sun except in hot summer climates where it prefers some shade, especially in the afternoon. Add plenty of compost to the soil to encourage rapid growth. Water evenly and moderately to prevent bitterness.

Planting & Growing: Start seeds indoors 4 weeks before transplanting outside, or sow seed directly as soon as the soil is workable. Make successive plantings every 14 days for a continuous harvest. In mild climates, lettuce can be sown from spring through fall.

Harvesting & Storage: Harvest in the morning. Cut head at base with a lettuce knife or harvest outside leaves. Wash and refrigerate.

Planting & Growing: Start seeds indoors 8 weeks before the last frost. Direct seeding is not recommended. Stake to keep fruit off the ground and mulch for disease and weed control.

Harvesting & Storage: Harvest the first fruits early to encourage continued production through the season. Cut (don't pull) the fruit from the stems. These peppers may be harvested from the green stage through the color changes.
