Description
Description
Jute Trellis Netting (10' x 150') is natural jute trellis netting for peas, beans, cucumbers, flowering vines, and other climbing plants. The 10 feet x 150 feet size covers long rows or multiple beds, while the 6-inch square openings give tendrils and stems room to climb. Jute offers a plant-support option that will weather and biodegrade rather than remain as permanent plastic netting.
Mount the netting vertically between sturdy posts or stretch it horizontally above a bed for layered support. Fasten the edges and several intermediate points so the netting stays evenly tensioned as vines gain weight. Guide young growth through the openings as needed, and avoid pulling stems sharply against the fiber.
Planning and Use
- Material: Natural, biodegradable jute
- Dimensions: 10 feet x 150 feet
- Opening size: 6-inch square
- Use: Vertical or horizontal crop support
Because natural fiber breaks down with weather and soil contact, inspect the netting during the season and plan for replacement according to exposure and crop load. Remove clips or synthetic ties separately at cleanup.

Works as expected. The smaller size wasn’t in stock so I opted for the 10x 150.
I only use about 35 feet to hold up hop bines until fall when all get cut back to the ground. Can compost the whole thing. Have enough netting to last 3 years.
It looks great compared to some of the plastic-style supports. It should last a long time.
The trellis is packaged well. Comes in a burlap sack that can be reused. This trellis can hold up to plenty of abuse and weight. We plan to use this type of trellis exclusively in our gardens.
