Description
Description
Mizuna brings a light, feathery texture and a mild mustard flavor to the kitchen garden. Its deeply cut green leaves add interest to a salad bowl without the strong bite of some other mustard greens. The slender stems and leafy tops are also useful in quick stir-fries and pickles, making this a versatile crop when you want one planting to serve several meals.
Fast growth makes Mizuna a practical choice for successive sowings through suitable cool-season windows. Harvest spring crops young before heat encourages bolting, or plan a fall planting for greens as temperatures ease. Early plantings may benefit from row cover to keep flea beetles from damaging the leaves. With a maturity range of 40–60 days, it fits well into a garden where crops are harvested and replanted regularly. Each packet contains 200 certified organic seeds.
