Organic Lettuce, Green Salad Bowl (1/4 lb)
Heat Resistant and Slow to Bolt
Lettuce - Green Salad Bowl - Lactuca sativa
Hardy Annual Heirloom. This leaf lettuce has light-green, long, wavy, deeply notched leaves with a large, fast-growing rosette. It is heat resistant; it will not get bitter in hot weather and is slow to bolt. It was an All-American Selections winner in 1952.
Did You Know? Lettuce is a good source of vitamin A.
Soil & Water: Lettuce likes full sun except in hot summer climates where it prefers some shade, especially in the afternoon. Add plenty of compost to the soil to encourage rapid growth. Water evenly and moderately to prevent bitterness.
Planting & Growing: Start seeds indoors 4 weeks before transplanting outside, or sow seed directly as soon as the soil is workable. Make successive plantings every 10-14 days for a continuous harvest. In mild climates, lettuce can be sown from spring through fall.
Harvesting & Storage: Begin harvesting outer leaves as soon as they are large enough and continue until a central stalk begins to form, which signals the end of the harvest period. You can also harvest the entire plant when it's mature but still young and crisp.
Soil Temperature: 40-65°F
Planting Depth: 1/4"-1/2"
Germination: 7-14 Days
Height At Maturity: 6"-10"
Days To Maturity: 45-68 Days

Let customers speak for us
from 9120 reviews![Gilmour Pattern Master Impulse Sprinkler](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0061/1391/9089/products/gilmour-pattern-master-impulse-sprinkler_70x70.jpg?v=1636699658)
The first time I used it, I turned it on and about 5 minutes later I looked out the window and all I saw was a geyser coming out. The sprinkler hed had unscrewed. (I did not check it before I used it). I put it back in and made sure it was tight and it has been working GREAT ever since. So far I really like it and the birds like it also.

I was looking for something durable, light, and affordable. This ticks all the marks. I use it for tools, not vegetables. But it could be used for anything.

Planted 80 seeds that were 2 years old and had 60-70% germination rate. It was an easy to use product and I had so much left over that I shared it with a friend.
