Organic Blueberry Hannah's Choice (Ea)

Certified-organic Hannah’s Choice is a very early Northern Highbush blueberry released for excellent eating quality. Its medium-to-large berries are medium to light blue, notably firm, and sweet with a mild profile that can show distinctive peach-like notes. The upright bush was selected and evaluated in the northeastern United States, where it ripens around the beginning of the highbush season and offers a specialty fruit experience rather than maximum yield alone.

Because Hannah’s Choice may open flowers exceptionally early, verify that the two actually bloom together at your site; harvest season alone does not prove pollination overlap.

Set the potted plant into full sun and acidic, well-drained soil without disturbing the fine root system more than necessary. Keep the bed evenly moist and mulched, yet never saturated. Pink-tinged early flowers can encounter late frost, so avoid low pockets where cold air settles and keep temporary blossom protection available. Once established, dormant pruning should remove weak twiggy wood while retaining well-spaced young canes for future crops.
