Goji berry (Lycium barbarum), also called wolfberry, is a long-lived deciduous shrub with arching branches, small flowers, and red to red-orange berries. Planting and training

Control suckers if you want the plant to remain in a defined space. Container culture is possible with a large pot, open drainage, regular watering, and periodic root and canopy management.

Harvest and comparison

Pick berries gently when they are fully colored and tender. Birds may also find ripening fruit, so netting can be useful where pressure is high.
