  • Facts to Note: Montezuma Red Oats mature a few weeks earlier than California Red but has less biomass. California Red Oats develop earlier than Monida or Cayuse White oats, but Monida or Cayuse White Oats have more leaf growth and therefore provide more organic matter, sometimes up to 14% more. Monida oats have a very similar growth habit to cayuse oats, but have a finer stem, which maker a better forage or hay oat than cayuse.
