Organic Ryegrass, Intermediate (lb)
Early Spring Growth with Rapid Regrowth After Grazing
Organic Storm Intermediate Ryegrass occupies the middle ground between Italian and perennial ryegrass. Lolium × boucheanum combines the rapid establishment and strong early-spring yield associated with Italian ryegrass with greater persistence, forage quality, and disease resistance from perennial ryegrass parentage.
This makes Storm useful in pasture systems that need quick production but may remain in place beyond a single short season. Plants reach approximately 3–4 feet, head relatively late, and regrow rapidly after grazing when adequate leaf area and moisture remain. Late heading can extend the period of leafy forage, although nutritive value and recovery still depend on growth stage, fertility, weather, and grazing pressure.
Seed into a prepared bed with dependable establishment moisture. Protect new seedlings from close grazing until roots and crowns are secure, then use rotational management that leaves enough residual growth for recovery. Storm can be planted alone or combined with a compatible forage legume. The ryegrass itself needs no inoculant; any raw clover or other legume added to the stand must receive its own species-appropriate Rhizobium inoculant.

We use this grass seed as alteration for lawn. We sow seeds quite high density, but found out one bag is too little for our yard. I would say, 500sqft or less per bag. After a few rains, the lawn is growing up nicely. We ordered 3 more bags. But it could be nice to know before head.
