Peaceful Valley Bloat Resistant Farm Pasture Mix (lb)

Peaceful Valley Bloat Resistant Farm Pasture Mix combines cool-season grasses with Nitrocoated legumes to create a diverse pasture for mixed livestock systems. Riley Intermediate Ryegrass, Martin Tall Fescue, Lofa Festulolium, and Orchardgrass provide the grass base, while Strawberry Clover and trefoil add legume diversity and nitrogen fixation.

The high proportion of grasses and the inclusion of trefoil are intended to reduce bloat risk compared with a lush pasture dominated by highly bloat-prone legumes. The grasses also supply fibrous roots, traffic tolerance, and seasonal forage, while the legumes contribute protein-rich growth. Species respond differently to temperature, moisture, grazing, and soil conditions, helping the pasture maintain production across a broader range of circumstances than a single-species stand.

No pasture mixture eliminates livestock health risks. Introduce animals gradually, avoid turning hungry livestock directly onto lush growth, and use grazing, forage-testing, and supplementation practices appropriate to the animal species and stage of production. Establish on well-drained soil below approximately 4,000 feet and protect young plants from close grazing until their roots and crowns are developed. The legume seed is Nitrocoated, so no additional inoculant is needed.
