Peaceful Valley Organic PrimeStart Booster Blend 2.3-5.0-2.6 (30 lb)
Peaceful Valley Organic PrimeStart Booster Blend 2.3-5.0-2.6 (30 lb)
Get Your Trees or Plants Off to a Good Start
This Peaceful Valley Organics specialty blend was designed to be used when planting bare root trees, grape vines, cane berries, or any other dormant plant. Unlike other brands of tree fertilizers, our Organic Primestart Booster Blend is crafted for the specific needs of bare root plants. Made with 100% organic ingredients of the highest quality, our fertilizer has no synthetic chemicals and no cheap fillers.
Primestart has a generous dose of long-term phosphorus because this nutrient is essential in the root zone at the time of planting. Since the phosphorus is slow-release, it will also promote healthy flower production in the spring.
The nitrogen in Primestart is lower than other fruit tree fertilizers such as our PVO Orchard and Vine Mix. This is because when your bare root trees are dormant, they do not take up nitrogen from the soil. The nitrogen that we have added to the Primestart will release slowly so your trees can use it when they start to wake up in the spring.
Our 3 lb bags are the perfect size for one bare root tree, or you can use half a bag on blueberries or grapes. No need to measure! For larger quantities of trees, we also sell 30 lb bags of Primestart.
This blend provides just what your plants need. It has small amounts of all the major nutrients, in combination with humates and Mycorrhizae.
- Contains soft rock phosphate, fish bone meal, feather meal, gypsum, sulfate of potash, azomite, kelpmeal, humic acids, and mycorrhizal inoculant.
- Use one 3 lb bag per bare root tree
- Grapes and blueberries add 1 lb (2 heaping cups) per plant
- Cane berries add 3 Tbs per plant, strawberries use 1-2 Tbs per plant.
Spread near the plants roots, as you back fill the planting hole. Keep in mind that it is still important to amend the entire back fill soil with some compost, as you normally would.

I use this on all my Bonsai, adding a bit of kelp to bring it to 2.5-5.0-5.0. The totally organic materials do not shock them and in particular the humic acids and mycorrhizal inoculant are beneficial. Spring growth is aided by adding some blood meal. And much less expensive than the Bonsai specific, sometimes non-organic products that can harm plants if over-used. This is slow release.
Also great on my tomatoes!
I have used this for all my trees/annuals/perennials. Does not burn, adds mycorrhizal fungi and feeds your plants during transplant. Almost every plant made it through their first winter (we had 4.5+ feet of snow). All our trees/berries from Grow Organic are doing great!
I have used this stuff in both potting mixes and tree plantings and the roots on those trees (that keep getting uncovered by our chickens) are massive and my soil is solid calcareous soil

I bought these seeds to go in bundles of packets of vegetable seeds that I will put in the Blessing Box at a church here in town about late January so people who need to can supplement the groceries they buy with a garden. I'm sure they will love them. If my budget stretches that far, I will get some for myself and let you know how I like them. I still have eight bundles worth of packets of seeds to purchase for them first, though.
Appreciate that you have this in bulk quantities. We use this as a rooting hormone and as a potting mix and soil supplement. Kelp meal is rich in minerals and micro-nutrients and contains growth hormones that support healthy root growth.
Helps me keep the ants down on my property. Place outside and keeps ants down even in your house.
I grow flats of this for my pet pigs, because of the high nutritional content. They love it. I find them waiting at the growing location every afternoon waiting for their fave. I've grown beautiful flats of pea sprouts and alfalfa for them too, but they turn up their snouts and walk away.
Top notch fertilizer and great store
The seeds popped up in no time. They are of excellent quality. I will buy again from Grow Organic. Thank you.
I purchased a can along with a sharpening tool for hand cutters. The Felco cleaner a
