    Good product

I originally purchased the 1/2" clips to go over bird netting on 1/2" white PVC water pipe hoops. They were so tight they would break the bird netting in spots so I had better know exactly where I wanted the clips so I wouldn't be moving them. This year, I bought the 3/4" ones, and they ended up being too lose....so lose they wouldn't hold the netting fairly taunt. But the 3/4" works well with this plus 50% shade cloth (even doubled over!). The product itself is stout and the generous length of the clips means they'll hold several feet of whatever before needing another clip. We get 120+ weather here in the summers of Lake Havasu City, AZ, and they have held their integrity, 100% in one summer's use. Well worth the cost (other than the shipping fees....)

    Best clips I have found

Amazon sells a product that is labeled "Snap Clamps" that come in a bag that looks identical to these. However, the Amazon version has much thinner plastic that are too easy to clip onto the PVC, therefore, much easier to come off and probably much easier for the sun to turn them brittle. I've bought clips from both Amazon and Grow Organic getting this far. From now on, I'll only purchase from Grow Organic

    fabulous for greenhouse coverings

My husband is an engineer who designed a 12 x 24 foot greenhouse for me using 3/4 inch PVC pipe. He then covered it with 55% white plastic greenhouse covering so as to avoid the expense of a shade cloth. The white covering also provides privacy. He used the snap clamps to anchor down the ends where the doors are.

Grow Organic is the only place I could find that carries these clamps. We have built four of these greenhouses to date and they give us an extra month of growing season.

There is a cautionary note though -- high winds will whip off the clamps very easily. So he just added screws to both ends of the clamps so they would stay put. The clamps make it very easy to create a greenhouse and hold the ends in place.

Without the clamps I do not know how we would anchor the doors in place.
