Felco Pruner No. 9

The Felco No. 9 is a left-handed bypass pruner sized for a medium hand. Forged-aluminum handles, hardened-steel blade components, an angled cutting head, non-slip coating, and a cushioned shock absorber support controlled pruning. A sap groove and wire-cutting notch add utility, and the adjustable cutting system uses replaceable service parts.

Use the pruner for live stems and branches within its stated capacity, placing the blade close to the branch collar for a deliberate cut. Keep the free hand away from the blades, lock the tool when carrying it, and select a lopper or saw for larger or very hard wood. Clean plant sap and debris after use, disinfect between diseased plants when appropriate, and apply a light lubricant to the pivot. Periodically adjust blade contact according to Felco service directions so the pruner cuts cleanly without excessive friction.
