Galaxy Potted Donut Peach Tree
Sweet, white-fleshed donut peach.
Galaxy is a white-fleshed donut peach developed by the USDA in California's San Joaquin Valley. The saucer-shaped fruit averages about 6 ounces in supplier trials, with cream-colored skin, a red blush, and sweet flavor. It ripens in early summer in comparable climates; timing varies by location.
Growing Galaxy Donut Peach
- Plant form: Potted, semi-dwarf peach tree.
- USDA zones: 5–10.
- Chill requirement: About 450 hours below 45°F.
- Pollination: Self-fruitful; another peach is not required for pollination.
- Site: Full sun and well-drained soil. Water deeply while the tree establishes, without leaving roots waterlogged.
Bloom and young fruit can be damaged by late frost. See our potted fruit tree planting guide and shop all potted fruit trees.
Galaxy combines the flattened shape of a donut peach with white flesh, cream-colored skin, and a red blush. Its approximately 450-hour chill requirement makes site selection important even within the broad USDA Zone 5–10 range. The tree is self-fruitful, so a second peach is not necessary for pollination.
Plant the potted semi-dwarf tree in full sun with the root flare visible and soil draining freely. Water deeply as roots establish, adjusting to weather rather than keeping the planting hole constantly wet. Begin scaffold selection early, prune to admit light, and thin fruit when the crop is heavy enough to crowd or strain branches. Early bloom and young fruit remain vulnerable to late frost. Fruit size and the supplier-trial average are descriptive rather than guaranteed. See the potted tree planting guide and browse peach trees.

We guarantee the perishable items we sell to be in good, viable condition when we sell them. Perishable items include, but are not limited to, garlic bulbs, flower bulbs, seed potatoes, onion sets & transplants, potted or bare root trees, vegetable crowns, etc. If your perishable item arrives in substandard condition, take photographs and please contact us within 3 days of the purchase date (or delivery date) and we will provide you with a refund of the purchase price (excluding shipping costs), or a replacement. Accordingly, we urge you to open any boxes marked as ""Perishable"" immediately upon receiving them and inspect the shipment thoroughly (do not crack open heads of garlic, we do not accept claims on cracked garlic). Because some perishable items can deteriorate very quickly, we cannot accept any claims beyond the 3-day time frame as it becomes too difficult to determine if these items were delivered in substandard condition, or if they turned into such substandard condition because of having been improperly cared for or stored once delivered.

I got my peach trees 2 years ago. They were healthy and started producing almost immediately. Although we only got 5 peaches between the 2 trees the first year, we were hopeful. But 2 years later, I am happy to report we are enjoying one of the best donut peaches we have ever had on our lives!!
My trees were dead.
