Peaceful Valley Almond Pollinator Mix (lb)

Thriving Almond Orchards

Peaceful Valley Almond Pollinator Mix is a custom flowering blend created to extend floral diversity around almond orchards. It combines annual wildflowers, lupines, phacelia, alyssum, and Nitrocoated clovers so the planting offers several flower forms, colors, and bloom periods rather than relying on a single pollinator species.

Arroyo Lupine, California Poppy, Chinese Houses, Five Spot, Baby Blue Eyes, Yellow Lupine, Globe Gilia, Alyssum, Gold Fields, and Lacy Phacelia provide nectar and pollen resources for bees and other beneficial insects. Crimson, Persian, Dutch White, and Balansa clovers add low-growing legume coverage and can support nitrogen fixation when actively growing. Actual bloom timing and persistence depend on planting date, weather, moisture, and orchard management.

Use the mix in designated orchard-floor areas where flowers can develop without competing directly with young tree trunks or irrigation hardware. Provide establishment moisture and coordinate mowing with the desired bloom period. If preventing volunteer seedlings is important, mow after the main flowering window but before mature seed develops. The clover components are Nitrocoated with compatible Rhizobium bacteria, so customers do not need to purchase additional inoculant.
