Good Cover Crop for Cold Regions

Cool season legume cover crop. In areas where temperatures drop below 25°F, use this hardy, Nitrogen-fixing mix for general fall and spring cover cropping.

  • Application Rate: 1-2 lb/ 1000 sq ft or 40-50 lb/ acre
  • Inoculant: Pea Vetch or Garden Combination Inoculant (sold separately)
  • Germination: 5-10 Days (depending on soil temp)
  • Plant Height: 5'
  • Uses: Nitrogen fixing, weed competition, green manure, forage
  • Facts to Note: Once established and well rooted, plants will tolerate temps below zero. Can plant in fall or spring

made the best yielding veggie garden ever
