Description

Peaceful Valley Clover Reseeding Mix is a perennial-and-annual blend designed for irrigated pasture renovation, seasonal soil cover, forage diversity, erosion control, and natural reseeding. Multiple annual clovers contribute cool-season growth and nitrogen fixation, while perennial and annual grasses add fibrous roots, ground coverage, and forage structure.

The blend includes Nitrocoated Hykon rose clover, Campeda subclover, Gosse subclover, Antas subclover, Nitro Persian clover, and balansa clover, plus annual ryegrass, Berber orchardgrass, Hardinggrass, Blando brome, and raw woolypod vetch. Subclovers and other reseeding annual legumes can replenish a stand when plants are allowed to flower and set seed before final mowing or grazing. Actual persistence depends on rainfall or irrigation, soil conditions, grazing pressure, and allowing adequate seed production.

Prepare a firm, weed-free seedbed and distribute the blend evenly. Drilling improves placement; broadcast seed should be pressed or rolled into the surface for good seed-to-soil contact. Manage grazing conservatively through establishment, then leave a portion of spring growth long enough to mature seed when reseeding is a management goal.

Note for certified organic growers: Nitrocoated seed is conventionally grown, non-GMO seed with no fungicide or insecticide seed treatment applied before coating. The coating contains certified organic powdered limestone, an organically approved binder, and an OMRI-approved peat-based inoculant, applied through an OMRI-approved process on a dedicated Nitrocoated-seed treatment line.
