Description

Turnip - Brassica napus x rapa

Biennial Heirloom. The plant has leaves with the shape and color of a rutabaga and a nice kale-like flavor. The shape of the root is that of a small football that has white flesh. When cooked the flavor is mild and is great served like a mashed potato.

Did You Know? Seed originated from John Gilfeather in Vermont. The original seed is actually a cross between a rutabaga and a true turnip.
