Ladbrooke Soil Blocker - 2" Blocker (12 Blocks)
Professional Sized Floor Blocker
The Ladbrooke Soil Blocker – 2" Blocker (12 Blocks) is a professional-quality tool designed to create uniform soil blocks for healthy, waste-free seed starting. Professional size soil blocker makes twelve 2" blocks from a standing position when working with medium placed on the ground. This model and the Professional Floor 20 Blocker will accommodate Mini-Blocker inserts.
By forming compressed blocks of potting mix, this tool promotes strong seedling root systems through natural air pruning, preventing root circling and encouraging dense, fibrous growth. The 2" size is ideal for crops like tomatoes, peppers, brassicas, and flowers that need extra space before transplanting. Made from zinc-coated, solid steel, it is built for long-lasting performance, even with heavy, repeated use. Using soil blockers also eliminates the need for plastic pots, supporting sustainable gardening practices and reducing waste.
Pair with PVFS Quickroot for best results. Please note the Cubic pins or 1" Dowel pins are sold separately.

OK, I'm converted. I love the efficiency of this system. There is a bit of learning curve to get the correct consistency. What I've figured out is you don't have to baby this. It is a robust tool and you want to really pack the soil in there so that it retains its shape. Once you get the hang of it, it's efficient and even fun. This size is great for cucumbers and similar larger type seeds easily accommodating good growth and can go straight into the garden without any additional transplanting.
It's a very handy and helpful tool for starting your plants off of seed. However the soil mix needs to be spongey and moist to stay in the soil blocks.
Makes large batches of blocks so easy and so much faster.
We've used this tool for several seasons now. Once the soil is mixed correctly, it can make hundreds of blocks in short order, without the wear to wrists that a smaller tool would produce.
